Q. HOW BIG ARE YOU?

A. We are big enough to make everything you see on this site. We scale as needed per client and project. We understand the comfort derived from feeling that "a lot of people" are working on your brand but we believe a better experience is derived when "the right people" are working on your brand.
We keep staff flexible and overhead low so you’re not paying for what might happen or for a service that you do not require. We only hire people that are equipped and motivated to do more than one thing and understand the spectrum of content creation from initial brand identity and strategy through to the desired final channel-specific deliverable. Our headquarters is in Austin, Texas, but we also have offices in Manhattan Beach, CA to better serve the needs of our clients.

 

Q. Do you MAKE LOGOS?

A. Yes, but we do so with context. Within a larger brand benefit and identity or "voice" that is relevant to the audience the brand is trying to connect with. Some examples here.

 

Q. DO YOU MAKE VIDEOS?

A. Yes, of all lengths and for all channels. But again, within the context of a larger strategy and identity. We make videos that deliver on the specific goals and objectives of our clients. We produced, directed and edited everything here.

 

Q. DO YOU MAKE WEBSITES?

A. We design websites as they are often the main portal, store or face of a brand. Again, the benefit, identity and voice of the brand are paramount in the design and user experience. We offer UX and design, as well as talented development partners. GCF does not code to keep overhead costs as low as possible. (See "how big are you?" above).

 

Q. HOW DO YOU BILL?

A. Not by the hour, because time does not equal quality. 

We talk with you, determine your goals and needs (scope of work), how much time it will take and agree on a price with you, that fits into your budget.

We can the bill by project or monthly retainer.
We can do this as short as 2 months or for years.

We can work project to project or we can offer a master service agreement, then scope of work by project. A working system so that when you need our services terms, legal etc. has already been established and we focus on particular projects with each scope of work billed separately.

Production costs are estimated outside the scope of work based on the approved creative approach/scripts and billed separately.  We include a production fee for management, including crew, equipment, post production, audio production. We can license and manage music and talent negotiation and cost for you.

 

Q. WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER AGENCIES?

A. We started from scratch over seven years ago, to avoid some traditional, but often poorly utilized, and badly treated layers (more on that here), to build a better way to create brand content and messaging. Our belief is that smaller is better, in that it can get more good done, more quickly. To that end, at GCF, the same people who work on your brand messaging strategy, also create and produce your content (more on that here). As mentioned above, we bill by the transparent and necessary deliverable rather than the opaque “hour”. We value our client’s business goals more than agency awards, we dislike drama, we like teamwork, and we love to make things better.
